Trio, a Fintech App

In the booming era of fintech, the market is saturated with apps that address either daily spending or investment separately. Recognizing an opportunity to bridge this gap, the idea for Trio was born – a unique application that allows users to invest as they spend, weaving these two financial activities into a seamless user experience.

Objective

Design an intuitive, engaging, and trust-evoking interface for Trio that promotes easy daily spending while also encouraging smart investment behaviors.

Balance Between Simplicity and Information

Users often get overwhelmed by dense financial information, which can deter them from using fintech apps consistently. However, a lack of essential details can lead to users making uninformed financial decisions.
‍We introduced a tiered information system. At the first level, users see a summarized view of their spending and investments. Those wanting more detail can drill down into specifics without cluttering the main interface.

Trust

When it comes to finances, trust is paramount. Users need assurance that their data isn't just technically secure, but also used responsibly.
‍Beyond incorporating advanced security measures like biometric authentication, we emphasized transparency. An accessible privacy policy, clear terms of service, and dedicated customer support reassured users about their data's safety and use.

Encouraging Consistent Usage

Financial health isn't a one-time fix but a continuous effort. To truly benefit from Trio, users needed to use it regularly, integrating it into their daily routines.
‍We introduced features like daily financial tips, reminders for bill payments, and visually appealing charts showing investment growth over time. This not only provided value but also made checking the app a daily habit.

Integration of Spending and Investing Mechanisms

One of Trio's core functionalities was to integrate daily spending with investment. The challenge lay in creating a seamless experience where users don't feel they are switching between two different modules.
‍We employed a unified design language, ensuring that visual elements and user interactions were consistent. Additionally, we provided users with suggestions on how much to invest based on their spending habits, making the integration feel organic.

Out of the box navigation

The main exploratory avenue within the project was the swwiping navigation. We focused on providing the user with an easy-to-access menu where they could control their finances and investments.
